Our Beginner Bootcamp workshops are aimed at introducing you to the key moves and principles of West Coast Swing. Learn to dance in a day!

You don't need a partner, prior experience, or special clothes - although we recommend you wear lightweight, flat shoes that don't have too much grip.

What will I learn?

The basic moves of West Coast Swing, plus a starter step - everything you need to hit the social dance floor. You'll also gain an overview of how the dance works and learn how to connect with your partner.

When and where?

The workshop is three hours long, followed by a social dance after a break for dinner. Once enough people have registered their interest, we'll get in touch to find a date that works for the majority.

You can attend the workshop, the social dance or both. Our venue is St Chad’s Parish Centre in Headingley. There are many options for food nearby, and the venue has plenty of free parking.
