Our SBK Conversion workshops are aimed at salsa, bachata and kizomba dancers who want to make the transition to West Coast Swing.

All our teachers have also taught salsa and bachata, so we're perfectly placed to help you make the switch. We can help you to avoid the common pitfalls, and learn the dance quickly.

What will I learn?

You'll learn the basics of West Coast Swing at a pace of delivery suitable for an experienced SBK dancer. We'll show you where your prior experience transfers directly, and where you will need to pay particular attention.

As we like to say - West Coast Swing is just similar enough to be really confusing. We'll clear the confusion, and get you up and dancing quickly.

When and where?

The workshop is three hours long, followed by a social dance after a break for dinner. Once enough people have registered their interest, we'll get in touch to find a date that works for the majority.

You can attend the workshop, the social dance or both. Our venue is St Chad’s Parish Centre in Headingley. There are many options for food nearby, and the venue has plenty of free parking.
